Due to the rapid international expansion of our projects department, HyperActive have a unique opportunity for a high calibre technician to engineer post production systems in London and on location both in the UK and abroad.
Hyperactive Broadcast has an enviable reputation for supplying edit facilities for film & TV; our credits include Winter Olympics in South Korea, Tennis in New York & Sydney, Springwatch, Winterwatch, Top Gear, Ninja Warriors, 2012 & 2016 Olympics for BBC Sport and Glastonbury for BBC Music, as well as numerous other events, feature films and TV dramas such as Vera, Britannia and Tin Star.
Hyperactive offers the opportunity to work on post production assignments at project locations worldwide. Typically these would be major sporting events such as Olympics, World Cup and Commonwealth Games.
Now, too, Hyperactive have opened 50 off-line edit rooms in the heart of Soho for the use of Film and Drama productions. These also require some engineering support.
We’re looking for an additional member of the team who will build, configure and support non-linear editors, shared storage, media management servers and, importantly, integrate editing facilities with EVS servers, sometimes as part of a large scale project.
You’ll ideally have a Broadcast Technology degree or equivalent knowledge gained from experience. Strong IT skills are essential and 2 or more years in a previous film & TV engineering role. Knowledge of configuring Avid systems, Adobe, FCP, EVS networks and broadcast VTRs would be most advantageous. If there are gaps in your technical knowledge we are prepared to teach you new skills, provided we think you’re right for the role.
