Anything with Spielberg's name on it is sure to be a hit. Combine this legendary director with young and raw actors, you create a brilliant interpretation of a story of a boy and his horse.
When Spielberg's involved, the film almost sells itself. You expect to see great cinema and an overall heart-warming movie. War horse does not disappoint, in-fact in enhances your perception of cinema viewing by offering a cinematic experience of World War I. Told through the eyes of a young boy and his horse. Not quite as simple as it sounds. The relationship begins with the horse being purchased by the boy to enhance crop production. However both boy and horse get separated as they are sent to war. Their journeys differ as the boy struggles in the war and is presumed dead for the majority of the film, whilst the horse is always present. Although separated they eventually find each other at a UK base. The horse is just about ready to be put down, before the boy recognises it and saves its life just in time.
With a great cast including Jeremy Irvine and Emily Watson this story is portrayed in a elegant manner, justifiably it went on to be nominated numerous times for the best picture category for the grandest award shows such as: The Oscars, BAFTA's and Golden Globe.
We always love our location work, being on-set outside of the studio is incredibly exciting as you feel more involved with the story. Overall this was an incredible project to work on, not to mention the film is brilliant also.Kit List:
